This is a free online material archive for teachers and educators who wish to expand children's creativity at the field of digital culture.

1. Listen to the music and watch the action videos.
2. Let children start playing with the character by using printed cards.
   Ask them to create their own rhythmic patterns.
3. Pick up one of the audio files as the background for the story.
4. Use digital pictures for animating children's story.
   Digital pictures can be produced in various ways by using different animation techniques.

In sample1, a child drew a car and put printed character as a driver. The child also drew a road then he took all the pictures by himself with digital camera and finished the animation in MovieMaker with teachers help.

In sample2, two characters were printed and a ball was cut from yellow paper. All the pieces were put in a scanner and still images were taken one by one by moving these pieces.

Sara Sintonen is a teacher educator and researcher from University of Helsinki, Finland. Her speciality is in media education and digital culture. Sara's background is in art education, and she holds both a Master of Music and Doctor of Music degrees from Sibelius-Academy.
